he tasks of commissioners employed at the Federal Office cover the areas of equality of men and women, the compatibility of work and family, protecting people from sexual harassment in the workplace, compliance with legal data protection rules, security of information and provisions against corruption.
Commissioner for Equality
The Commissioner for Equality (sec. 4 of the Federal Equality Act) has the task of implementing the Federal Equality Act and promoting and ensuring that the Employees' Protection Act is implemented in the workplace. She collaborates on all personal, organisational and social measures in her department that affect the equality of men and women, the compatibility of family and work and protection from sexual harassment in the workplace.
Commissioner for Official Data Protection
The Commissioner for Data Protection (sec. 4 of the Federal Data Protection Act) is concerned with compliance with the Federal Data Protection Act and with other regulations concerning data protection. To do this, he monitors the correct use of data processing programmes that handle personal data.
Anti-corruption Commissioner
The Anti-corruption Commissioner is a contact person for the prevention of corruption in accordance with No. 5 of the Guidelines issued by the Federal Government for Preventing Corruption in the Federal Government dated 30 July 2004.
Commissioner for Security of Information
The Commissioner for Security of Information draws up measures and makes decisions based on the Security Screening Act and the Instruction for Classified Material.
