Lower Saxony Advice Centre on the Prevention of neo-Salafist Radicalisation

Led by the Ministry of Social Affairs, a concept was developed for the structure and work of a civil society advice centre together with the Islamic associations. Building on this, the Advice Centre on the Prevention of neo-Salafist Radicalisation started its operations in Hanover in April 2015. The “beRATen e.V.” association, which was launched in December 2014, was made the responsible body of the Advice Centre.

This advice service, offered in the entire Land, is to demonstrate paths towards averting violent, extremist ideology and towards reintegrating people into society. Those concerned, as well as in particular relatives, friends and acquaintances from the private, school and professional lives of young people affected by radicalisation, can find advice and support there.
