Putting people first: providing security, creating opportunities, embracing change

IFAK e. V.

IFAK e.V. is a self-governing organisation made up of immigrants and locals for multicultural child and youth welfare and migration work which at the same time is the agency funding several facilities and projects in this area.

IFAK has been operating since back in 1975 as a state-recognised independent youth welfare organisation. The Förderverein IFAK e.V. was established in 2005, and combines and coordinates the project work of the various associations. The members of both the Board and the working teams are on principle multiethnic.

In order to counter the growing trend of juveniles turning to Islamist networks, the model project "Advice network for tolerance and cooperation" was launched in 2012 in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.
Since 2017 this project is continued under the name “Beratungsnetzwerk Grenzgänger”.

Its many years of experience make the IFAK organisation an important, valuable partner for the work of the Advice Centre on Radicalisation.
