European Refugee Fund (ERF)

The European Refugee Fund (ERF) was set up in 2007 by the European Union. The implementation, administration and management of the fund in Germany falls into the area of responsibility held by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.

The ERF supports projects organised by public and private organisations for the benefit of refugees, including asylum-seekers, those entitled to asylum and those entitled to protection. The funds are intended to support the groups of people affected and EU States in hosting and advising refugees and helping them to integrate.

Over the following pages we provide detailed information about the European Refugee Fund and the respective services offered by the Federal Office. There are also descriptions and illustrations of the projects which have received funding.
