Single Point of Contact for Rights of Residence

The Right of Residence Service Centre places asylum seekers in the different Federal States.

The Service Centre handles many interconnected issues. It is responsible for the placing of asylum seekers in the Federal States and works together with the local foreign affairs offices and the Hardship Commissions in the individual states. Specializing in aliens law, it is also working towards the further development of customized IT systems.

For example, the Service Centre uses the EASY system for the allocation of asylum seekers to the Federal States, and for the placement of foreigners staying illegally in Germany it uses the VILA system. In addition it is leading the further technical development of the electronic asylum procedures file (MARiS) and is involved in the development of additional software for handling foreigners’ issues.
