EIF Co-financing
There are limited funds available to the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees for co-financing projects of the European Integration Fund. Funds for co-financing EIF projects in the "Integration through civic participation" area may be applied for, and funds are available for "culture of welcome" projects, as well as for intercultural dialogue and pre-integration work.
A prerequisite for co-financing is that the project themes fall within the government's remit. In addition, co-financing depends on the support of the EIF project to which application has been made: If EIF support is declined, it is not possible to receive financial backing from Federal funds.
Please note that only those EIF projects can be co-financed which commence as per 1 January 2013 at the earliest. No retroactive support is possible.
In the event that more eligible co-financing applications are received than there are funds available, it will be necessary to choose between them. This may mean that applications may not be considered or that co-financing cannot be provided to the extent requested. The Federal Office will endeavour to inform applicants as soon as possible whether the co-financing application submitted has any chance of success, subject to approval of promotion the EIF project.
