Below are some examples of combined measures involving other providers that the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees is currently supporting.
Measures to prepare for the integration course:
- Courses for mothers
- Parent-school dialogue at childcare facilities and primary schools
- Women's courses
Measures to accompany the integration course:
- Computer training for young people organised by the youth migration service during the integration course
- Health advice as a supplementary module to women's and parents' courses
- Advice for course attendees who would like to gain a training qualification (external examination, part qualification) as part of the project
- "Intercultural exchange" as an information platform specially for integration course attendees
- Information events as part of women's and parents' courses on the need for preventive health check-ups
- Integration courses for women: individual careers advice for women
- Integration courses for young people: extra courses
Measures at the end of the integration course:
- Youth courses: organising sports programmes in co-operation with local support clubs
- Women's and parents' courses in particular in urban districts, in co-operation with family centres and primary schools; use of educational measures in urban districts such as parenting skills training, events for promoting health, etc.
- Target group of Iraqi refugees / career changers: socio-pedagogical orientation programmes in co-operation with the youth migration service and other local stakeholders, supplementary to the language course
- Internet platform as an information medium both for the integration courses and follow-up programmes
