Access to the labour market

Gaining access to the labour market is not always easy for immigrants. There are not enough jobs in every area of work, and job-seekers frequently have to have specific qualifications to take up a job.

Recognition of the qualifications that you have obtained abroad, or having these qualifications assessed, is therefore particularly important when it comes to finding a job. You will find information on the recognition of foreign vocational qualifications on the following pages.

The successful integration of immigrants into the labour market also relies on the intercultural openness of companies and businesses. A range of activities is in place with the aim of bringing companies and businesses, but also the public administration, into line with the requirements of our ethnically-diverse society and making them attractive places to work for everyone regardless of origin, language or culture.
