Report on developments in EU asylum and migration policy in 2010
The European Commission has recently published the Synthesis Annual Policy Report 2010. Based on National Reports of the EMN National Contact Points, the report provides an overall insight into the most significant political and legislative developments, as well as public debates, in the area of migration and asylum in EU Member States.
The German report was published this March. Among other things, both the national- and the Synthesis EMN Reports keep track of all five Commitments included in the European Pact on Immigration and Asylum as well as on relevant asylum and migration-related elements of the Stockholm Pro-gramme and its accompanying Action Plan. The Report made a key contribution to the Commission’s latest Annual Report on Immigration and Asylum (2010) and an accompanying Commission Staff Working Paper.
