Asylum and Migration Information Centre
General
The Asylum and Migration Information Centre has an extensive collection of information, especially on the countries of origin of asylum-seekers and migrants. It supplies the Federal Office staff and external users with information on the areas of the right to asylum, refugee protection, migration, integration and assisted returns.
The Asylum and Migration Information Centre is advised in its work by a high-ranking expert forum consisting amongst others of judges, academics, solicitors and non-governmental organisations.
Roughly 95 staff members are busy implementing the extensive tasks. These are largely specialists such as librarians, documentalists, analysis officials, lawyers, political analysts with various specialisms, demographers, specialists in Islamic studies, educationalists, former individual decision-makers and assistance staff.
