Asylum in Figures

Migration encompasses various forms of legal immigration to Germany. One aspect of migration is the granting of asylum. A great deal of detailed information is provided here on the topics related to asylum. Numbers of arrivals, decisions and pending proceedings are examined more closely. Over and above this, information is provided on the shares of cases in which court actions are filed, and on terminated and pending court proceedings.

Numbers of foreigners

The number of foreigners is not the result only of a country’s migration events (immigration and emigration), but is also influenced by further factors. The overall population, as well as the foreign population, is examined here firstly in a number of time series, and secondly from various points of view, such as age or gender.
