This page presents the MiA courses. MiA stands for "Migrantinnen einfach stark im Alltag", or "Everyday strength for female migrants". This is a course where women support each other. They encourage one another, learn and experience new things together.

The MiA courses usually take place in a classroom. You will speak about subjects that are important to you. You can improve your German while doing so.

On some days, there will be activities like going out together to get to know the city. MiA courses often involve other activities like sewing, singing or painting together.

How do MiA courses work?

The course is made up of women-only groups. The instructor is also a woman. The other women come from your home country or from all over the world. One course comprises 34 hours over several weeks or months.

You can take part in up to three courses in a row. The course contents will match your personal needs. The instructor will make sure of this. You do not have to pay anything for the course.
