Digitalisation is made up of four levels; organisational substructures form their foundations. A blue and yellow stepped chart shows the four levels of digitalisation. The lowest level is blue, and stands for "Organisational substructures": the structure of the competences, as well as their promotion, guidelines, vendor management, talents, organisation/governance, project culture. The second level is yellow, and stands for the "View of the technological substructures": microservice architecture, DevOps, cloud, containerisation, conversation platform, Artificial Intelligence/data analytics. The third level is turquoise, and stands for "New digital methods": agile development, experience design, design thinking, new steering tools. The top level is blue, and stands for "Digital initiatives": cost-benefit analysis (return on digitalisation).
